SINGLE BANK DIRECT EXPANSION MODEL
The
evaporator is split into serpentine coils. An expansion valve is provided for every two
coils for improved refrigeration distribution. Our competitors feed three coils with
each expansion valve. The coil bank can be split to operate from two different
condensing units if desired. Externally equalized thermal expansion valves with remote
sensing bulbs are used to maintain the superheat setting under conditions of changing
load. Vertical suction risers are sized to return oil to the compressor. Coils are filled
with dry nitrogen prior to shipment |
DOUBLE BANK DIRECT EXPANSION MODEL
Double
bank-direct expansion systems are available for 45,000 lb ice capacity and larger units.
Each assembly is independent in operation and can be supplied by a separate condensing
unit. However, These systems can be plumbed for use with one large condensing
system if desired. Two coil banks are used to reduce pressure loss and increase operating
efficiency. As with the single bank model, the coil assemblies are filled with dry
nitrogen prior to shipment. |
